Architectural Technician

Craft the Future with Us
Architectural Technician - Full Time, London

📍 London | ✦ Hybrid after probation | 🕒 Permanent Role

At RISE Design Studio, we design with care for people, places, and the planet.

We're looking for an experienced Architectural Technician who shares that commitment and wants to be part of a studio that believes low-energy, low-carbon design isn’t just the future - it’s the now. You’ll join a close-knit, design-led team delivering residential, hospitality, and educational projects across London, Ireland, and Spain.

☉ You’ll bring technical precision to concept-driven design.
☉ You’ll turn ideas into buildable, beautiful realities - without losing their soul.
☉ You’ll help us shape spaces that quietly challenge what architecture can be.

This is a role for someone who understands that great design lives in the details.

What we’re looking for:

You’re proactive, technically sharp, and passionate about how things are made.

  • You hold a relevant qualification in Architectural Technology (CIAT or equivalent)

  • You have 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in the UK

  • You’re fluent in Archicad (confident day-to-day use is important)

  • You have a strong grasp of UK Building Regulations and technical detailing

  • You bring experience in EnerPHit and AECB standard retrofits, or are eager to grow in this area

  • You have a deep appreciation for materiality, fabrication, and sustainable construction methods

  • You communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and stay calm under pressure

  • Experience in small practices, particularly on both refurbishments and new-build homes, is a plus

What you’ll do:

  • Create and maintain detailed technical drawings using Archicad

  • Assist in refining design solutions, ensuring they’re deliverable and compliant

  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and suppliers to bring clarity to complexity

  • Support site visits, resolve technical issues, and uphold design intent on the ground

  • Ensure all documentation meets industry standards and regulations

  • Bring a “fabric-first” mindset to both retrofit and new-build detailing

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary with regular reviews

  • Time off over the Christmas break

  • Company pension scheme

  • A studio culture rooted in sustainability, collaboration, and curiosity

  • Regular studio outings - from gallery visits to hikes in the hills

  • Real opportunities for professional development and growth

  • Hybrid working available after probation

We don’t just hire skills - we invest in people. If you’re looking to grow in a practice where design and values align, we’d love to hear from you.

RISE Design Studio is an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to building a team that reflects the world we design for. Everyone is welcome here.

Project Architect

Design Buildings That Make a Difference
Project Architect (Experienced) — Full Time, London

📍 London | ✦ Hybrid after probation | 🕒 Permanent Role

At RISE Design Studio, we believe architecture is more than just construction. It’s culture. It’s care. It’s change.

We’re not here to build just any buildings — we’re here to build better ones. Spaces that are low-energy, emotionally intelligent, and deeply rooted in place. Homes that nourish. Schools that inspire. Places for people to thrive.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Architect who believes in that mission, and wants to shape a world where buildings give more than they take.

☉ You’ll lead some of our most exciting high-end residential, hospitality, and educational projects across London, Ireland, and Spain.
☉ You’ll join a purpose-driven, close-knit studio that treats every project like a chance to raise the bar.
☉ You’ll collaborate with craftspeople, consultants, and clients who value design with depth and detail.

This is not a job for someone looking to tick boxes. It’s for someone who wants to leave a legacy.

What we’re looking for:

You're not just highly skilled - you’re hungry. Curious. Ambitious in all the right ways.

  • You’re RIBA Part 3 qualified with at least 5 years’ post-registration experience in the UK

  • You’ve run projects across all RIBA stages - and know how to keep a team on time, on budget, and on point

  • You’re as confident managing clients and consultants as you are drawing a junction in ArchiCAD

  • You bring clarity to complexity, energy to meetings, and purpose to the process

  • You value sustainable design, detail deeply, and believe fabrication is where magic meets method

  • You’re proficient in Adobe Suite and Microsoft/Open Office

  • You’re comfortable in ArchiCAD (Experience with ArchiCAD important, but we’re open to fast learners), and ideally familiar with Twinmotion, Lumion or Enscape

What you’ll do:

  • Lead multiple live projects - from concept to completion

  • Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables using our studio systems

  • Represent RISE in every interaction - with professionalism, integrity, and curiosity

  • Lead client relationships with confidence and care

  • Coordinate external teams and internal resources with clarity and purpose

  • Produce clear, compelling reports throughout the project lifecycle

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary with regular reviews

  • Time off over Christmas - because rest matters

  • A company pension scheme

  • Studio outings - from cultural exhibitions to countryside hikes

  • Hybrid working option after probation

  • An ambitious, open culture where your ideas count

  • Real opportunities to shape your future - and ours

We don’t do ego. We do ideas. We do impact. We do it together.

At RISE, we believe diversity makes design better. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. If you believe in meaningful design and want to be part of something that matters, we’d love to hear from you.
