Design with Purpose - Join RISE Design Studio as a Project Architect
by Sean Hill on Jun 2, 2025
London | Full-time | Permanent role
Architecture doesn’t have to shout to make an impact. It can whisper through detailing that matters, design that treads lightly, and buildings that give more than they take. That’s the work we do at RISE.

We’re looking for a Project Architect to help us do more of it.
☉ You’ll work across residential, hospitality, and educational projects in London, Ireland, and Spain - from first sketch to final detail
→ This is a role for someone who finds beauty in process, not just outcomes
☉ You’ll lead projects at all stages - navigating concept design, technical detailing, client relationships, and construction on site
→ Your calm head and clear thinking will guide both team and client
☉ You’ll work closely with directors and collaborators in a small, design-led studio where sustainability isn’t a department - it’s the starting point
→ Fabric-first. Detail-obsessed. People-centred.
What we’re looking for
We’re not chasing CV buzzwords. We’re looking for someone who cares.
You might be a great fit if:
-
You’re RIBA Part 3 qualified, with 5+ years post-registration experience in the UK
-
You’ve led projects from early concept to site completion
-
You’re as comfortable managing consultants and teams as you are detailing a junction
-
You’re fluent in ArchiCAD (intermediate level or higher), and ideally familiar with Twinmotion, Enscape or Lumion
-
You know your way around Adobe Suite and the usual tools
-
You see sustainability not as an add-on, but as a way of thinking
-
You enjoy collaboration, curiosity, and a bit of healthy challenge
Bonus if you’ve got a passion for materials, fabrication, and bridging the digital and the handmade.
What we offer
-
A competitive salary with regular reviews
-
Time off over Christmas, because rest matters
-
A company pension scheme
-
A studio culture that values learning and creativity
-
Real opportunities for long-term growth
-
Frequent team outings — from cultural events to mountain hikes
-
Hybrid working (after probation)
RISE Design Studio is an equal opportunities employer.
We believe the best design comes from diverse minds and lived experiences. If you’ve taken an unconventional path into architecture, we’d love to hear from you.
